Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up again and again, answered once and for all. Can't find yours? Ask it in the forum.
Windows
Open Settings → Network & Internet → Status → Network reset. Restart the laptop, then reconnect to the network and re-enter the password. If that doesn't fix it, update the Wi‑Fi adapter driver from Device Manager.
Run Disk Cleanup (search for it in the Start menu), tick "Windows Update Cleanup" and "Temporary files," then clean up system files. Storage Sense (Settings → System → Storage) can do this automatically going forward.
Mac & iOS
Spotlight re-indexes everything right after an update, which can take a few hours. Check Activity Monitor for "mds_stores" — once it settles down, performance returns to normal. Restarting once also helps.
Unlock the phone, trust the computer when prompted, and make sure the cable supports data (not charge-only). On Windows, install the latest iTunes or Apple Devices app.
Networking & Wi‑Fi
Usually the router needs a reboot (unplug for 30 seconds) or has overheated. If it persists, check for firmware updates and move the router away from microwaves or thick walls.
Files & downloads
All shared files live on the Files page, pulled from a public Google Drive folder. Anyone with the link can view or download — no sign-in needed.
Not directly through the site yet — message a thread reply with what you'd like to share and it can be added to the Drive folder.
